Through the Looking Glass
The time of year has come for my friend Nina's birthday, and, as usual, some shenanigans were involved. Among them were Joe and I simulclimbing the 300 foot 5.4 route to the summit of Looking Glass Rock. I asked Joe to climb quickly and 6 minutes later, I was seriously regretting that decision as I climbed, coughing and spluttering, up on to the summit. I caught my breath on the glorious free hanging rappel, packed up my camera, sleeping bag, and 40s and climbed back up to the summit to join the festivities. It was an excellent birthday celebration. Thank you Nina for bringing together so many awesome people, and most importantly thank you for being born.
